28-Day AI Challenge: Sales & Marketing Edition (Tool-Focused)

Participants will learn how to leverage generative AI tools like ChatGPT, Meta AI, and Gemeni to enhance their workflows. Assignments will encourage creativity and practical application. Weekly interactive Zoom meetings on Fridays will serve as checkpoints for sharing progress and feedback.

Kick-off Friday, January 31, 2024

Join a kick-off on an interactive Zoom session. We'll demonstrate some tools and techniques to get you started on the challenge. Then learn from your peers each week as we look at assignment results. 

Week 1 (February 3): AI-Powered Content Creation

- Assignment: Use ChatGPT, Meta AI, or Claude to create marketing content for a product or service. Examples include:
  - Social media posts or captions.
  - Email campaigns.
  - Blog articles or product descriptions.
- Objective: Experiment with AI for drafting and refining compelling marketing messages.

Week 2 (February 10): Personalized Outreach Campaigns

- Assignment: Leverage ChatGPT or Claude to craft personalized outreach messages targeting specific customer personas. 
  - Use Meta AI or other tools to analyze audience behavior and segment your audience.
  - Create at least 3 tailored messages for different personas.
- Objective: Learn how to use generative AI for effective personalization and segmentation.

Week 3 (February 17): AI-Driven Analytics and Insights

- Assignment: Use AI tools to analyze a sales or marketing dataset. 
  - Generate insights using Claude’s summarization capabilities or ChatGPT for trend analysis.
  - Present your findings visually using tools like Google Looker Studio or Canva.
- Objective: Gain hands-on experience turning data into actionable strategies using AI.

Week 4 (February 24): AI-Powered Solution Pitch

- Assignment: Design and present a pitch showcasing how ChatGPT, Meta AI, or Claude can solve a specific sales or marketing challenge in your organization.
  - Include visuals, sample workflows, or mock results created with AI tools.
  - Prepare a 3-5 minute presentation for the group.
- Objective: Learn to articulate the value of generative AI in a business context.

Recommended AI Tools for the Challenge:

1. ChatGPT, Meta AI or Gemini: For drafting, refining, and summarizing content.
3. Google Looker Studio: For visualizing data insights.
4. Canva (with Magic Write): For creating visuals and presentations.
5. Zapier: To explore AI integration into marketing workflows.

Willis holds the CME and CSE designations bestowed by SMEI and the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation from ASAE which he earned in 2005. Earners of the Certified Association Executive have demonstrated, through experience and passing an exam, that they have practical experience in association management and executive level knowledge in defined competencies. He has a strong aptitude for web-based tools that assist associations and non-profit organizations to be more productive while providing members with high value. Willis is passionate about professional certification and has 20+ years of experience in developing and managing professional certification programs.
